Across the field are the scant remains of the branch line to Thaxted.

Course of the Thaxted Flyer (2)
Facing the opposite direction to Image, the trackbed of this branch line crosses the minor road from Henham to Hamperden End and lines up exactly to run alongside this mature hedgerow. Although there's no visible signs of it today.
