View eastward, towards Bishop's Stortford, Cambridge etc.: ex-GER London Liverpool Street - Bishop's Stortford - Cambridge main line, electrified to Bishop's Stortford 1960, Cambridge 1983. Until 13/6/60 and rebuilding the station was 'Burnt Mill'.

Harlow Town railway station, Essex
Opened in 1841 by the Northern & Eastern Railway, later part of the Great Eastern Railway on what is now the line from London Liverpool Street to Cambridge. It had a variety of names that included Netteswell, Burnt Mill and combinations thereof, but in 1960 with the adjacent New Town having been built and the station getting a major rebuild, the name "Harlow Town" was settled on.
