Old Milestone by Station Road, Harlow parish
Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of HARLOW (HARLOW District), Station Road, by No.6 Oakwood Mews (new flats), in pavement, on West side of road. Erected by the Hockerill turnpike trust in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-
South side: BPS / STORTFORD / 6
East side: (LONDON) / 22
North side: EPPING / 6

'The Crown' inn at Old Harlow
This inn stands in Market Street, which is part of the original village of Harlow. Records show that it has been an inn since 1703 but the building is much older, probably dating back to the 16th century.
