Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of HARLOW (HARLOW District), Station Road, by No.6 Oakwood Mews (new flats), in pavement, on West side of road. Erected by the Hockerill turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- South side: BPS / STORTFORD / 6 East side: (LONDON) / 22 North side: EPPING / 6 Essex HER.
