Bumps in the Wood, Shenfield Common
Shenfield Common is a patch of woodland in an otherwise fairly urban area.
Here, the sandy soil has been piled up into a series of small banks and dips, for bikes at a guess.

Seven Arches Road, Brentwood
The avenue of chestnut trees contains both pink and white flowering specimens. This picture is at the Shenfield Pond end of Seven Arches Road. Seven Arches Road is so named because where it crosses the main line railway, the railway bridge consists of seven arches.

Liverpool Street - Clacton train ascending Brentwood Bank
View westward, towards London; ex-Great Eastern London Liverpool Street - Colchester etc. main line. LNE B12/3 4-6-0 No. 61555 on the 13.36 Liverpool Street - Clacton-on-Sea buffet-car express has passed Brentwood & Warley station and is going fine near the summit at Ingrave of the four miles at 1-in-103 from Harold Wood. At the time, the electrification reached only to Shenfield & Hutton.
