Crowsheath Wood
This is the side entrance into Crowsheath Wood from a footpath. The main gate is on Image The wood is a nature reserve owned by Essex Wildlife Trust http://www.essexwt.org.uk/visitor_centres__nature_reserves/crowsheath_wood_nature_reserve/ it consists of 17 acres of coppiced ancient woodland. The Wickford Wildlife Society http://www.wickfordwildlife.co.uk/ carry out much of the maintenance. Crowsheath Stump
Stumps of trees are left to rot and there are piles of cut timber decaying away all over the Image nature reserve, this makes a marvellous habitat for invertebrates. The reserve is owned by Essex Wildlife Trust
