Heswall Shore
It is possible to walk here but it is certainly advisable to take note of the warnings - basically, don't go near to the cliffs, they might collapse, and don't walk out into the estuary - you will sink into the mud.

Boats on the mud
There is a small boatyard near the foot of Banks Road, Heswall, and on the mud in front of it, other boats are sitting around a slipway into the Gutter. In the near distance on the right a line of rocks marks the end of the path, and runs into the grass-covered mud. In the far distance the tidal Gutter runs into the sea. Here it is around mid-tide.

The slipway leads down from Heswall Boatyard and there are active boats as well as many derelict ones around here. Everywhere there is mud.
