Coast Road Shotton
Prior to the building of the A55 dual carriageway to Bangor North Wales and the opening of the Dee bridge at Connah's Quay, the road shown used to be a major though heavily congested route from Manchester and Liverpool into north Wales coastal resorts. It is now downgraded to a B class road.

Church in Wales church in the Diocese of St Asaph, built in 1898-1902 to the designs of Douglas and Minshull, architects of Chester. The patron was W.E.Gladstone who died (on May 19th 1898) before the church was completed.
