Boys Entrance (2)

Date panel, Conway Street School
Ornate terracotta detail. It takes some care to pick out the date, 1903, as the 9 is not immediately obvious as such. Although most of the building detail is classical, the Art Nouveau influence can be seen in the scrollwork in this panel. See Image

Birkenhead Bus Station
This is a light and airy structure which is actually attractive to use. The High ceiling and glass walls give the feel of almost being outdoors, but being in a sheltered environment. There appears to be a good maintenance routine to keep it looking fresh.
