Birkenhead Tramway
This is the Taylor Street terminus of the restored section of the Birkenhead Tramway, the original of which functioned from 1860 to 1937. The tramlines swinging round to the right lead to the Taylor Street depot.

Lisbon Tram No.730, Taylor Street, Birkenhead
This tram was built in 1930 and serves on the Birkenhead tramway. It is seen parked in the siding, opposite the Taylor Street depot.

Tram No.70, Taylor Street, Birkenhead
No.70 was built in 1992 at Whitty Street Depot in Hong Kong. This is one of two trams which were operational in Blackpool, before transfer to Birkenhead. An OO scale model of this tram is produced by Bachmann.

Liverpool Tram No.245, Taylor Street, Birkenhead
This tram was built in 1938. Kept at Birkenhead since 2006, it was restored to operational use by the Merseyside Tramway Preservation Society by 2014, with the help of a £50,000 lottery heritage fund grant in 2010. It is operated on the Wirral Tramway, although owned by National Museums Liverpool.

Ventilator, Taylor Street, Birkenhead
The Mersey Tunnel ventilator towers are a magnificent set of structures - functional, visually stunning and emblematic of the different eras in which they were built. This one was built c1931. The architect was Herbert Rowse. Grade II listed.
