Clifton Park was one of the swankier developments spurred on by the creation of Birkenhead Park, laid out by Walter Scott from the early 1840s. Scott designed many of its villas. No. 24 is particularly grand. Grade II listed. Now home to the Birkenhead Operatic Society.
