East Float Dock, Wallasey
The tugboats coming to assist a ship in another dock are Thorngarth (right) and Svitzer Stanlow (left). The re-development of the old flour warehouses are underway. I'm pretty convinced that they were used in the film '51st State' (the exterior shot of the club scene).

HMS Plymouth, East Float, Wallasey Docks
Steam powered Rothesay class frigate that was involved in the Falklands War and hit by ordnance that failed to explode. This was part of the collection of historic warships that closed on 5-2-06. This vessel has now (2014) gone for scrap after a long and unsuccessful campaign to get her preserved.

East Float, Wallasey
The flour mills on the dockside have now been converted to apartments. Seen in front are two historic warships - HMS Plymouth and HMS Ocelot - that both took part in the Falklands War. HMS Plymouth, especially, is facing an uncertain future.
