Sun Insurance badge, 5 Bridge Place, Chester
The badge is dated 1710. The house itself Image is grade II* listed (list entry 1376052) and judging by the photo on HE's listing was once the home of Granada TV's Chester office.

The Prince of Wales Feathers on the City Walls
This weathered stone carving is set high up on the city walls facing the River Dee and just to the east of the Bridgegate. The carving is the Prince of Wales feathers with his motto "Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense" and the date "171?". The stone commemorates the creation of the Prince of Wales as Earl of Chester in 1714. The Prince later became King George II. The stone can be seen in situ at the far right of the Bridgegate photo Image .
