Recorder's Steps

Plaque half way up the Recorder's Steps
This plaque, which is starting to deteriorate, is engraved: "RECORDER'S STEPS Erected by the Corporation of this City A.D.1700 For the Convenience of Roger Comberbach. Recorder.

The Recorder's Steps
Built in A.D.1700 these steps were provided for the convenience of Roger Comberbach, the City Recorder. They provide access between the Groves and the city walls. The River Dee is just to the right of the road and the trees.

Plaque above the Recorder's Steps
