Barry (Town) railway station, Vale of Glamorgan
Opened in 1889 by the Barry Railway on the lines through to the Vale of Glamorgan to Bridgend, and to Barry Island. View south west towards Rhoose, also towards Barry Island. Compared to Image taken 34 years earlier, the semaphore signals have gone, there's a slightly different footbridge and the paint has changed colour.

Barry (Town) railway station, Vale of Glamorgan, 1984
Opened in 1889 by the Barry Railway on the lines through to the Vale of Glamorgan to Bridgend, and to Barry Island. View south west towards Rhoose, also towards Barry Island. Compare to Image taken 34 years later - the footbridge has been replaced and the semaphore signals replaced by colour light signals.

Barry railway station approach
Viewed across Broad Street. This is the middle station of three with the Barry name in the area. To the northeast is Barry Docks station, and to the southeast is the terminus at Barry Island. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1904671 to a view inside the station. Barry railway station
Viewed from the southwest edge of the western platform. The small yellow milepost on the right edge of the photo shows zero. This is a relic from the days of the independent Barry Railway Company (1884-1922), when other mileposts on the company's system took their distances from this central milepost.
