This used to be the terminus for a number of trolley-bus routes. Having come this far west on Cowbridge Rd, they did a U-turn and went back the way they had come.

Taken on a dull and wet day in January 1970, this photo shows a B.U.T 9641T trolleybus with East Lancs bodywork in Cowbridge Road East by Victoria Park on a tour to mark the closure of the city's trolleybus system.

Just another coffee shop?
Bloc coffee shop at Victoria Park has an unusual history. The inscriptions on the door lintels show that this was originally a public convenience. https://www.designmynight.com/cardiff/bars/bloc Note also the OS cut mark on the bottom right stone.
