Flats in former Caersalem chapel, Ton Pentre
Located at the western end of Gelli Road, near Ton Pentre library. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2678362
A tablet in Welsh on the wall above the upper floor windows shows that
Caersalem (Jerusalem) Wesleyan Welsh (language) chapel was built here in 1887.
After the chapel closed in the 1990s, the building was converted to flats.

A Fish Called Rhondda, Ton Pentre
Located at 20 Church Road, Ton Pentre. The name of the shop is intended to be a humorous variant of the 1988 film A Fish Called Wanda.
The board nearer the camera shows "Credit crunch lunch 2 Fish Bites with chips and peas only £3.50"
The other board lists some of the food available (in addition to fish & chips), such as pizzas, kebabs, burgers, baguettes, tortilla hoops and home-made cakes.
