St Mellons Parish Church, Old St Mellons
Viewed from the south. The Grade II listed church was built c1360 (though some claim there are church records back to 1254). According to the information board outside the church, the church is dedicated to Mellonius (4th century), who was born in Cardiff and became the first bishop of Rouen. However, some dispute this version, and believe that Mellonius has been confused with a similarly-named Saint Melaine.
