Pencoed Fire Station
In addition to Pencoed, the fire station serves neighbouring villages such as Heol-y-Cyw, Brynna, Coychurch and the M4 motorway between junctions 34 and 36. The station, opened in 1960, is part of South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. There are 16 retained crew members : station commander, 3 leading firefighters and 12 firefighters. The station is located near the centre of Pencoed, at the end of a cul-de-sac named Fairlawn Terrace, which connects with Coychurch Road, a major route through the town.

Pencoed railway station, Bridgend
Opened in 1850 by the South Wales Railway on the line from Cardiff to Swansea, this station closed in 1964. It was rebuilt and reopened in 1992.
View north east towards Llanharan and Cardiff. The 1992 station seen here has the Cardiff-bound platform on the far side of the level crossing. The previous station had both platforms on this side of the crossing.
