Bridleway to Old Castle Down from St Brides Major
The bridleway initially runs along this farm track which strikes out northwards from Blackhall Road at the outskirts of St Brides Major. It divides into two towards the eastern end of the Down, one path heading to the stepping stones near Castle-upon-Alun, the other towards the clapper bridge across the Afon Alun near the same place.
