Cardiff Tertiary College building, The Parade/City Road
Viewed from Newport Road, the multi-storey building is one of four Cardiff Tertiary College (Coleg Glan Hafren) sites. This one is located on the corner of City Road and The Parade. Cardiff Tertiary College is the city's largest further education college, with 800 courses and 13,000 students, ranging in age from 16 to 80.

Business premises at 1 City Road, near the Newport Road junction. There are three sections to the premises. Nearest the camera is the MOT test centre. The section in the middle sells the Tamiya range of self-assembly radio controlled cars. The repairs and servicing section is on the right.

The Ernest Willows, Cardiff
Wetherspoons pub, opened in 2000, on the corner of City Road and Oxford Lane. Ernest Thompson Willows was a pioneer aviator. Born in Cardiff in 1886, he designed and built several airships. The first, named Willows 1, was in 1905. He died on August 23 1926 in a balloon accident giving joy rides at a public show at Hoo Park, Kempston, Bedford.
