Cardiff Royal Infirmary
Cardiff Royal Infirmary occupies a rectangular site about 200 metres by 100 metres, between Glossop Road, Newport Road, Orbit Street and Longcross Street. This view is from Glossop Road.
The site housed the King Edward Hospital from 1837. In 1923, it was renamed Cardiff Royal Infirmary. The major part of the Infirmary closed in March 1999, with the west wing remaining open, for use as a clinic and various other medical services.

Letting in some fresh air

Dried up
The Splotlands pub, dating back to 1883, is currently closed. In recent times it had a poor reputation for trouble, but there is hope that it can be reopened in the future.
