Cardiff - Roath Park
Perhaps one of Cardiff's most popular open spaces, Roath Park was built on 130 acres of bogland. The park now includes the 30 acre Roath Park Lake (1.3 miles circumference) which was formed by damming of the Nant Fawr stream. www.cardiffparks.org.uk

Conservatory, Roath Park, Cardiff, Wales
The large glasshouse in Roath Park (Parc y Rhath) was built in the 1970s to replace two earlier ones from the early 1900s. It contains many unusual species of plants and trees such as palms, banana trees and orchids with a pond and a waterfall forming a central feature, containing fish, terrapins and whistling ducks. This conservatory is situated at the southern end of the park, its front entrance and welcome desk being equidistant between Lake Road East and Lake Road West.
