Drug dealing - Waterloo Gardens

Proactive high visibility patrols have taken place and we are no longer receiving reports of drug dealing at this location. One female who was causing significant issues in the community relating to drug use/supply was arrested for violent crime and is no longer residing locally. Therefore this is no longer a priority in the area.

Shoplifting & Retail Crime - Newport Road

This remains a priority due to the current levels of shoplifting. Repeat offenders are being dealt with by the Neighbourhood Policing Team and charges/remand in custody are being sought where applicable.

This remains a local priority and although we have seen a dip in the last few months there has been an increase over the last 2 weeks. Llanedeyrn NPT have continued to implement our vehicle crime action plan when responding to any vehicle crimes to ensure all lines of enquiry are followed up and positive action taken against any offenders that ae identified.

Vehicle Crime

In the early hours of 18/04, officers sighted a stolen vehicle being driven in the Penylan area. This vehicle was stopped and occupant arrested. The investigation that followed, linked the 34-year-old male to several recent theft offences that have taken place in the area. 

He has since been charged with vehicle crime offences (x6), shed burglary and driving offences (x2).
