Steam locomotive on the M4
'Black 5' steam locomotive No. 45231 is seen passing along the M4 north of Cardiff on a move from Port Talbot back to Crewe. The loco had previously been failed at Llandeilo with a wheel flat on its tender while working a private charter.

Steam locomotive tender on the M4
The tender of 'Black 5' steam locomotive No. 45231 is seen passing along the M4 north of Cardiff on a move from Port Talbot back to Crewe, closely following the locomotive itself. The loco had previously been failed at Llandeilo with a wheel flat on its tender while working a private charte. The wheel skate used for the movement from Llandeilo to Port Talbot can be seen beneath the tender's leading axle (axle closest to camera).
