Trees on Whitchurch Common
An avenue of trees on Whitchurch Common. A plaque records that they were planted after the Second World War on behalf of the Second Evacuation unit of the United States Army as a token of gratitude to the parishioners of Whitchurch for the hospitality shown to them.

Ararat Baptist Church, Merthyr Road, Whitchurch
The church is named after Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey which according to the Bible was the resting place of Noah's ark.
This seems to be the only use of this name for a church in the UK.
