Welsh Male Voice Singer's Birthplace
The famous singer, Ivor Novello, was born in this house in Cardiff's Cowbridge Road East on 15th January 1893. The Gothic stone-arched doorway carries the inscription "Llywn yr Eos" and has the commemorative blue plaque beside it. The door holds a pleasing lyre.

St David's Hospital Front, Cowbridge Road, Canton
This is a photograph of the front of St David's Hospital which pretty much looks like it did when I was born there back in the 50's. I don't think it's used as a hospital any longer now though.
