Lidgate Stores, Lidgate
A C16 house originally. The double bow-windows (beneath the gable) are a C19 modification and served as a shop front. According to http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-283254-lidgate-stores-lidgate-suffolk the deeds of the house go back to 1685 when the house passed from James Tyler to John Johnson.

The duck pond in Lidgate is so familiar from my childhood, but I hadn't been there for years until we stopped there one spring day on the way to Lavenham.

A view of Suffolk House in Lidgate
This fine timber-framed house stands alongside the B.1063. It probably dates back to the mid 15th century and has a fine, early Tudor brick end with a stepped gable.
