A C16 house originally. The double bow-windows (beneath the gable) are a C19 modification and served as a shop front. According to http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-283254-lidgate-stores-lidgate-suffolk the deeds of the house go back to 1685 when the house passed from James Tyler to John Johnson.
