Footpath sign
Gradually disappearing into the ivy. From the right, the angle of approach of the path, this is completely hidden. I overshot (it signs into a churchyard so not obviously the path) but a helpful lady pointed out that I wasn't on the path and it was 'clearly signed back there'. One feels that a short time spent with some secateurs would reduce her workload as footpath monitor.

Burrough Green: St Augustine
"A church more interesting than architecturally valuable, a puzzle rather than a work of art" (Nikolaus Pevsner), seen from the end of Church Lane on a bright December morning. The gabled aisles are unusual, and there is evidence there were once chapels either side of the chancel.

St. Augustine's church at Burrough Green
This mainly 14th century church has some odd features. On the south side there are three gables, a very rare feature. The chancel was originally flanked by chapels but they have now gone.
