Newmarket Guineas bus station
A view across Newmarket Guineas bus station from its exit road, which was closed for resurfacing when this picture was taken, hence the traffic cones in the foreground. Having a single passenger shelter, and capacity for only two buses to load or unload at a time, this is a facility for which the title "bus station" is perhaps rather grand. The cars behind the fence are in a surface car park, while a low rise multi storey facility serves the same purpose in the background. The canopy that has crept into the right hand corner of the frame is attached to a covered shopping centre which, if memory serves, lends its name to the bus station.

Bus reversing out of Newmarket bus station
The 312 to Bury St Edmunds reverses (with the aid of a banksman, hidden behind the bus in this shot) out of Newmarket Guineas bus station onto Fred Archer Way. Usually, buses are able to leave the bus station forwards, but when this picture was taken the exit road was being resurfaced, so buses had to leave via the entrance. A banksman was stationed in the bus station at all times to assist with this and to manage the conflicting movements created.
