Horse tracks near Snailwell
This track is too narrow for horses to use as a gallop, so it is probably used as a safe routeway from the nearby stud farm to the road. To the left of the track is a footpath that follows the route of a dismantled railway that used to link the stations at Newmarket and Ely.

Junction Cottages and the railway bridge
Just south of here the line from Ely divided, the west curve leading to Newmarket and Cambridge, the east curve to the Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket line. Only the Bury line survives.

Thatched barn at Godolphin Stables
Viewed from the road between Newmarket and Snailwell. The area beyond the hedge is used for training racehorses. The building is understood to form part of an isolation unit for the racing operation.
