Wicken houses [17]
Number 7 Pond Green is a late 15th century cottage of an open hall plan. In the 17th century the cottage was extended on the right and a floor was inserted into the open hall. Timber framed and stuccoed with a thatched roof. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1126428 Wicken is a small village some 10 miles north east of Cambridge and 5 miles south of Ely. There are traces of occupation from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods. The village is the site of Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve.

Number 3 Pond Green is a late 16th or early 17th cottage of three bays. Timber framed, originally thatched but now with an ugly corrugated iron roof. The extension to the right is late 19th century in gault brick.
