Isleham Lime Kilns
Built around 1860 and active until around 1935, these lime kilns were designated as listed buildings in 1983 and are used as a roost site by bats. They are surrounded by the Lime Stone Close housing estate.

Isleham features [2]
Built circa 1860, these are the remains of a thriving clunch quarrying industry. Seen in Limestone Close, three of the kilns are preserved. The clunch rubble was loaded in through the circular openings at the top and quicklime was raked out at the bottom. Work ceased circa 1935. Number 18 Mill Street is one of a pair of 18th century cottages. Constructed partly in clunch and partly in gault brick.
