Shops on Churchgate Street, Soham
The white building, Poppies, is take-away food now, but was originally the White Hart Inn. Both the bakers, from about 1840, and Poppies, from the early 16th century (with later alterations) are grade II listed.

Former White Hart Hotel
The faded writing on the wall of this private residence, on the corner of Churchgate Street and White Hart Lane, betrays its former life. The large white band between the upper and lower windows reads: "White Hart Commercial Hotel" and above in the side street, even fainter but still legible, "Image"

Monopolowy
At the corner of High Street and White Hart Lane in Soham. The name originally denoted the chain of government monopoly off-licence (liquor) stores in Poland which were the only outlets permitted to sell beer, wine and vodka for retail consumption. Sales were not permitted before 1pm. This shop seems to be a general licensed grocer, though it specialises in products likely to appeal to the many eastern Europeans who live and work in East Cambridgeshire district with its predominantly agricultural economy.

This was Barclays which closed in May 2019 and was the last bank in Soham. The building is available to let.

This was Lloyds Bank which closed in October 2018. That left only Barclays in the town and that has also now been closed.
