Grade II Listed Steelyard, Fountain Lane
To the rear of The Fountain Inn is the steelyard, a device for weighing wagons, which is probably 18th century in origin. Part of the main arm and post, which are the most visible aspects of the structure from the street, are original.

The Grade II listing text reads: "Steelyard, a device for weighing waggons, probably C18 in origin. The machinery is raised on a yellow gault brick base and is protected from the weather by a timber frame and weather-boarded casing with tiled gabled roof.
