Fen Ditton: Home Farmhouse
Unlike the undulating tiled roof (not very apparent in this picture), the austere 19th-century brick facing gives little clue that this is a 17th-century timber-framed house with many outstanding features. It is Grade II* listed - see http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-50563-home-farmhouse-fen-ditton-cambridgeshire .

Fen Ditton: Home Farmhouse in early spring
The plain 19th-century brick conceals a fine 17th-century timber-framed house. The Grade II* listing explains that "The house is a well-preserved early C17 vernacular house in which all phases of its evolution may be clearly read in surviving historic fabric".
