The large house behind the trees, The Limes, is much older than its plain brick facade would suggest. The lengthy Grade II listing begins "House. Formerly a farmhouse. C17 with late C19 addition and alterations. Timber-framed and plastered, cased in C19 gault brick, and gault-brick extension. Plain tile roofs. Large C17 rear stack. One storey and two storeys and attics. Original C17 T-plan house to rear with two-bay C19 addition to front elevation". The picture was taken on a bright and breezy February morning.

Landbeach: brightness on the longest day
The Willows is the sort of plain and dignified 19th-century yellow-brick house found in most villages in the Cambridgeshire Fens. I think the vivid tree is an acacia of some sort.
