Or more properly The King William The IV. The good burgers of Histion must have a great thirst as it has at least half a dozen pubs still open. Many villages these days can't even support one.

A Grade II listed building with C17th origins but with subsequent alterations and additions, see: https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101127403-king-william-iv-public-house-histon. Inevitably known locally as the King Bill as the heading on the noticeboard proclaims.

A Grade II listed building with C17th origins but with subsequent alterations and additions, see: https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101127403-king-william-iv-public-house-histon. Inevitably known locally as the King Bill as the heading on the noticeboard proclaims. The partly obscured 'Overhanging building' and narrow road signs emphasise how vulnerable the guttering is!

Histon: up Church Street
Approaching the King William public house (just round the corner on the right) just after 7.30 on a brilliant Sunday morning in mid June. The thatched timber-framed houses are some of a good number of Grade II listed 16th- and 17th-century cottages in Histon.
