Cromwell Road: building on the Ridgeons site
Ridgeons, a long-established Cambridge builders’ merchant, vacated this large site and it is being redeveloped. The notice on the wall on the left reads: “At Cromwell Road we will be building 295 homes, including affordable housing, a nursery and community facility, open space, car parking and cycle parking. Cambridge Investment Partnership is an equal joint venture between Cambridge City Council and Hill Investment Partnerships. It has been set up to help meet the need for housing [and] in particular to deliver 500 new council homes across the city.”

Cromwell Road: Timber Works sales office open
A large new housing estate is being built on the Ridgeons builders' merchants site by the City Council and a building company. The first of the houses appear to be finished and the sales office is open.
