Oddfellows Arms, Caldbeck - April 2017 (1)
17th Century coaching inn which came under the control of the Carlisle State Management Scheme at an unknown date. The Scheme records its sale in 1973 for £4,750 and it is still trading. Unfortunately, the area in front of the pub doubles as the village car park. Caldbeck Village Square
Caldbeck’s village square is overlooked by the Oddfellows Arms pub and the area in front of the pub is used as a pub car park. A useful facility for walkers, the village store and Post Office is on the left beside the road leading from the far end of square. The Caldbeck Alternative Route of The Cumbria Way passes through the square (next photograph Image).
