Benchmark, Houghton, The Knells
Detail of the Ordnance Survey cut benchmark at the base of a sandstone pillar in a wall at The Knells.
The benchmark marks a height of 30.399m above mean sea level (Ordnance Datum Newlyn) last verified in 1972.

Knells Cottages
These may have been a row of farm cottages once, just across the road from the Knells Farm. Now apparently redeveloped as a row of very desirable houses.

Gateways by Knells Farm
The two stone capped ornamental gateposts were installed either side of one of the entrances to Knells House, now serving as an access to some cottages.
There is an Ordnance Survey cut benchmark on the base of the nearer of the two posts (detail photograph Image).
