Church of St. John the Baptist, Croglin
Left of the church door in this image can be seen the village war memorial; it takes the form of a Celtic cross set upon a boulder, but oddly for its time both WWI and WWII inscriptions are set at angles.

Church of St. John the Baptist, Croglin
The Church of St. John the Baptist in Croglin was built in 1878 and was still functioning when the photograph was taken but it seems that it will at the time of this submission be closed according to a news report of May 2009 - http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/eden_valley_church_to_close_after_130_years_1_548810.

House Incorporating Old Pele Tower
This building today called "The Old Pele" has previously been named: Croglin Vicarage, Kirkcroglin,and Rectory Farm. The gable end with french windows and window above were once part of Croglin Pele Tower. Croglin village was burned by Scottish raiders in 1346.
