11 Fisher Street, Carlisle
Built around 1790 for Robert Ferguson, son of a prosperous textile manufacturer, the bay windows being a Victorian addition. Latterly a working men's club, and currently undergoing refurbishment into residential apartments. Listed Grade II. There was a proposal in the late 20th century to build forward to the street line, completely destroying the original facade; fortunately this was opposed and the building survives.
