Priorities

27 Feb 2023

Anti-social behaviour caused by youths in Carlisle City Centre

Response (4 Dec 2023)

We have made this area one of our priorities and continue to work with other agencies like retailers, the council, City Centre Management, environmental health and housing providers to discuss how each agency can help solve this issue. We continue to actively patrol the area at key times and will proactively look to identify those engaged in ASB and deal with them appropriately and where appropriate use Police powers. A number of individuals have been identified as being involved and we will continue to work with appropriate partner agencies to reduce their offending, but where this is not successful we will look to pursue criminal matters.
