Netto supermarket, St. Nicholas Gate Retail Park
Soon to be no more. The UK operation of the Danish chain Netto was bought by Asda in 2010, and these premises will be transformed into an Asda store in September 2011. We will miss their unpredictable selection of twice-weekly bargains, also the chocolate. St. Nicholas Gate opened in 1989. Originally this large unit was occupied by Do-It-All DIY store, when they downsized a few years later Netto moved in to part of it.
