The Horn of Egremont
Situated on South Street and close to Egremont Castle, the shield above the door depicts the Horn. William Wordsworth wrote a poem entitled The Horn of Egremont Castle, and tradition has it that a horn hung at the castle gate "which could only be sounded by the true lord of the place".
