Former Bassenthwaite Lake station
Bassenthwaite Lake station, originally on the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway, closed in 1966. The station buildings later became a café. The railway theme was enhanced by the acquisition of the full size model steam train from the 2017 film version of Murder on the Orient Express (extreme left).

Orient Express, Bassenthwaite Lake
A full size model steam locomotive built for the 2017 film version of Murder on the Orient Express, now on display at Bassenthwaite Lake station. The 'locomotive' appears to be supported by a set of small rusty trolley wheels. There is a small gap between the 'real' wheels and the track.

Bassenthwaite Lake Station, with Down train
View eastward, towards Keswick and Penrith; ex-London & North Western, Cockermouth, Keswick & Penrith line. This station was closed on 18/4/66 along with the line Keswick - Cockermouth - Workington; after much objection, Penrith - Keswick was closed eventually on 6/3/72. Then much of the route was converted to a road (A66)! The train, which is headed by LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46449, is the Saturday 10.15 Manchester Victoria to Workington. (I have to admit, however, that I was undergoing a driving (motorcar) lesson on this occasion!)
