The Cumbria Way, High Hill
The public footpath from Long Bridge to Greta Bridge passes through a gateway to reach a minor road. Northbound walkers on The Cumbria Way turn left to follow the road to Great Bridge (next photograph Image).

The Cumbria Way, High Hill
The Cumbria Way follows the public footpath from Long Bridge to Greta Bridge on the approach to High Hill (next photograph Image). The grassy ridge to the right is a flood defence bank to protect property in High Hill.

The Loving Eye And Patient Hand...
...Shall Work With Joy And Bless The Land. The motto on the facade of the Keswick School of Industrial Arts (architect Paley Austin and Paley, 1894, listed Grade 2). The KSIA was founded by Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley and his wife Edith, and produced arts and crafts metalwork until its closure on 1984. The building is now Luca's Italian restaurant. Built in 1893, this Industrial Arts & Crafts Centre has an historical association with the Canon Rawnsley, patron of Beatrix Potter and founder of the National Trust, who established Keswick Industrial Arts in 1883. Keswick School of Industrial Art
Purpose-designed for the Keswick School of Industrial Arts by Paley Austin and Paley, this building (listed, Grade 2) stands by the River Greta in Keswick. Founded by Canon Rawnsley and his wife Edith, the KSIA produced arts and crafts metalwork until its closure in 1984.
