The Crown, Botchergate - September 2016 (1)
Dating from at least 1822 and also known as The Crown Hotel and The Crown Inn, this pub was State owned between August 1916 and 16 April 1973, when it was sold to Scottish & Newcastle. Still trading.

Site of "Northumberland Arms" - June 2017
Also known as "Northumberland House", the pub appears to have been a substantial two-storey building with sky-lights, which dated from at least 1821. It was acquired by the State Management Scheme in July 1916 and promptly closed.
The building seen here is not the original premises, but a "new build" on the site.
